Privacy policy
Session Manager does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything it stores stays on your device.
What the extension accesses
- Tabs (required): when you save a session, the extension reads the URL, title, window, and pinned state of your open tabs. Tabs in private or incognito windows are never saved.
- Bookmarks (optional): only if you grant this permission, the extension reads, creates, edits, and deletes bookmarks you choose to manage. It uses your browser's own bookmarks and does not keep a separate copy.
What is stored and where
- Saved sessions (tab URLs, titles, window grouping, names, and dates) in your browser's local extension storage.
- A short log of recent restore operations containing only counts of tabs opened or failed, not URLs.
- A setting that remembers you dismissed the toolbar tip.
This data is removed when you permanently delete sessions or uninstall the extension. Your browser's own sync settings may sync bookmarks independently of this extension.
What is never done
- No network requests. The extension's security policy blocks them.
- No analytics, tracking, advertising, or accounts.
- No remote code.
- No data is sold or transferred to anyone, including the developer.
Restoring a session opens the saved websites in your browser, just as if you visited them yourself.
Exports
Export creates a JSON file on your device only when you ask for it. It contains your saved URLs, so keep it private. Imports are read locally and never sent anywhere.
